How To Update Safaricom SIM Details Online
How To Update Safaricom SIM Details Online After The Telcom Company Finally Provided an Online Portal.
Telco service provider, Safaricom has finally provided an online portal where its customers can update their sim card details, a relief for many who risked having their sim cards switched off
The Communication Authority of Kenya had set April 15 as the deadline for the ongoing exercise it says seeks to enforce the SIM card registration regulations of 2015 and subsequently combat cybercrime and fraud in the digital space.
However, the CA has extended the deadline for SIM re-registration by six months.
The exercise has been going on for some time, and as is usual, many Kenyans have not been able to do so because it is in our culture that deadlines should be extended.
Telkom Kenya and Airtel had since released an online portal for SIM re-registration, but Safaricom had not.
Safaricom has since caught up with the rest with an online platform, which now allows customers to update their SIM details via an online platform.

Here are a few things to note though:
Make sure your ID photos are as clear as possible because the system will fail you.
Also, try to update the details from your phone because the process is way much easier, and faster.
You do not need a selfie to complete the process, so you do not need to worry about that.
Your facial photo will be required, yes, but that will be done sometime in 2023.
