It was a shock as Kibaki’s grandson refused to be greeted by ODM leader Raila Odinga during the burial of Mwai Kibaki.
A video doing rounds on social media platforms captured an awkward moment when ODM leader Raila Odinga was greeting members of the late Mwai Kibaki’s family.
In a dramatic turn of events, one of Kibaki’s grandsons declined to a handshake with the former Prime Minister.
He was the last in the line.

The young man snubbed Raila by hiding his face from him.
Raila just walked away, though in his face you could see he was disappointed.
However, other members of the family, including Jimmy and Judy Kibaki, greeted the ODM chief.
The incident was filmed in Othaya, Nyeri County just moments before Kibaki’s State burial began.
Top leaders in the country and from the region, among them President Uhuru Kenyatta, and thousands of Kenyans have turned up in Othaya to pay their last respects to Kibaki.
