ODM Blasts Former Police Spokesman Charles Owino, Nicholas Gumbo
ODM through party Secretary General Edwin Sifuna Blasts Former Police Spokesman Charles Owino, Nicholas Gumbo.
Orange Democratic Movement Secretary-General Edwin Sifuna has accused former police spokesperson Charles Owino and former Rarieda MP Nicholas Gumbo of dishonesty.
Owino and Gumbo left ODM for United Democratic Movement (UDM), where they’ve formed a joint ticket for the Siaya Gubernatorial contest.
Sifuna said on Tuesday, March 29, that the two had been out to make life difficult for the party despite having defected earlier.
“These ones must have joined UDM long ago but were hanging around to just make life hard for ODM,” Sifuna told the Nation.
He explained that the deadline for joining parties had elapsed, and the registrar of political parties had closed the portal.
“What I know is the deadline for joining parties lapsed and the registrar closed the portal,” he added.
