Prezzo resigns from Wiper party
Prezzo aka Jackson Makini has announced his resignation from Kalonzo Musyoka’s Wiper Party.
On Tuesday, Prezzo took to social media to share an approved letter he had sent to Wiper Secretary-General seeking his departure from the party.
“I write to you to inform you of my decision to resign from Wiper Democratic Party of Kenya under section 14 (1) (a) of the political parties act as read with article 38 of our Constitution effective Monday,” the letter read.
Prezzo, on the other hand, did not reveal the reason for his resignation or which political party he will join next.
In 2019, Prezzo became a member of the Wiper Party.
Prezzo had planned to run in the Kibra by-elections on November 7, but Wiper decided against it because the ANC and Ford Kenya had backed them in the Embakasi South parliamentary seat.
The by-elections were held after Kenneth Okoth, who died of cancer, died, leaving the Kibra seat vacant.
