Man stabs his ex-lover, new boyfriend accusing the woman of moving on too quickly instead of trying to salvage the relationship.

Police in Nakuru have launched investigations into the circumstances that led to the stabbing of a lady and her boyfriend by an ex-lover in the Kolen area.

A vengeful mob attacked the 27-year-old assailant minutes after he had stabbed the two, leaving him in severe condition.

According to Nakuru Town West sub-county police commander Francis Wahome who confirmed the incident, the woman and her boyfriend sustained stab wounds.

Wahome explained that the lady had visited her new boyfriend after breaking up with the old one who saw them together.

The sight of the two led to an argument, and in a fit of rage, he pulled out a knife and stabbed both of them.

“We have started an investigation to find out what really happened before the attack. We are yet to get full information on whether the three are students or what their professions are. We are waiting for them to recover,” Wahome said.

A witness claimed the young man tried to ask his ex-lover why she had moved on so quickly instead of trying to save their relationship.

Wahome disclosed that the man who stabbed the couple was in critical condition at the Nakuru Teaching and Referral Hospital.

This happened after he was descended upon by enraged members of the public looking to exert primitive justice before the police saved him.

The police boss added that the couple did not sustain severe injuries and were receiving treatment at the same facility.

“The two did not sustain serious injuries, and we are yet to visit them at the hospital to know the seriousness of the injuries they sustained, at the moment, any further information about them is confidential,” Wahome added.
