The death of Reggae star Njambi Koikai’s Father was a result of excessive bleeding according to an autopsy report.
An autopsy conducted on the body of Daniel Koikai, the father of deceased reggae star Njambi Koikai, has determined that he passed away due to excessive bleeding.
Government pathologist Grace Mirigo conducted the autopsy on Tuesday, June 18, at the Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home.
The results revealed that Daniel Koikai allegedly died as a result of excessive bleeding caused by two deep cuts to his neck, which were reportedly self-inflicted.
The pathologist indicated that the deceased allegedly used a knife to inflict the cuts, leading to severe bleeding and his subsequent death.
Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) officers from Ruiru also unraveled details of a text message Daniel Koikai sent to Njambi’s sister moments before he passed away.
“Am sorry, It had to come to this,” read the text. His body was discovered at his apartment in Tatu City, Ruiru on June 14.
When his body was discovered, the deceased was found holding a kitchen knife in his right hand with detectives concluding the weapon might have been the one he used to end his life.

According to the detectives, Daniel Koikai might have made such a decision after being troubled over his absence in Njambi’s life when the daughter needed him most.
Daniel allegedly passed away while his daughter’s burial ceremony was underway at Lang’ata Cemetery in Nairobi.
His tragic death came hours after he paid tribute to his late daughter where he utilized the opportunity to apologise and ask for her forgiveness.
“Dear Njambi my daughter, the time has come for me to atone for my acts of omission or commission on your final journey from this world it has been one of the most difficult episodes in my life,” Njambi’s father eulogized.
“Especially for your close family members; your mother, sister aunts, uncles and colleagues in the media and friends in and out of the country,” he added.
