At least 11 pupils from Hills Valley Academy in Ngong, Kajiado County, sustained injuries on Friday evening after their school bus was involved in a road accident.

Reports indicate that the crash, which occurred along Baboon Crescent Road, took place around 4.30 pm while the bus was ferrying learners back home from school.
Residents who witnessed the accident said that the bus lost control under unclear circumstances and overturned along the murram road.
Locals who were on high alert quickly responded and began retrieving the trapped pupils from the wreckage before rushing them to the Kenswed Hospital.
While the exact number of pupils involved in the accident is yet to be established, no fatalities were reported from the evening incident.
Videos of the tragedy, shared on various social media platforms, showed the school bus lying on its side along the road, with a few people gathered around it.
The footage also showed the bus partially damaged, with broken side mirrors and windows, depicting the extent of the accident.

Residents who were at the scene of the crash blamed the poor state of the road as one of the main causes of the accident. They claimed that the latest incident is not the first one witnessed along the risky route.
The latest incident comes barely a fortnight after a similar accident occurred in the Masai area, Taita Taveta, where a teacher died and several students sustained injuries in a crash.
According to reports, the accident which occurred on July 4 took place while the teacher was accompanying the students at the music festival.
Those injured rushed to Mikindani Hospital to receive treatment. Moments later, police officers arrived at the scene and towed the vehicle to the police station for further investigations.
Jomvu Constituency, Member of Parliament Badi Twalib Bady paid a visit to the students at the hospital before he proceeded to the school, where he met with anxious parents and the grieving school community.
