Azimio chief agent in the August polls threatens to sue Citizen TV news anchor Trevor Ombija over his interview with Raila Odinga.
On December 28, Saitabao Ole Kanchory, a former chief agent for the Azimio la Umoja Coalition party, threatened to sue Citizen TV news anchor Trevor Ombija for his remarks during an interview with Raila Odinga.
Kanchory announced on his official Twitter account that he intended to sue the journalist for allegedly misquoting him over the reasons why his party lost the August 9 general elections.
In a question to Raila during the interview on Citizen TV, Trevor had brought up Kanchory’s remarks, in which he claimed the main party agent claimed the fifth-time presidential candidate failed due to the party’s “disorganized campaigns and agents not getting paid.”

Kanjory demanded an apology from the Citizen Tv prime-time news anchor for failure to which he would press charges against him.
“Unless I receive a proportionate apology in 7 days, I’m suing,” Kanchory asserted.
In response to the question, Raila refuted the claims of his campaigns being disorganized saying, on the contrary, they were among the best and well-coordinated.
Raila, further alleged, that he knows exactly what went wrong and where. He accused the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Chairman Wafula Chebukati of bangling the elections.
