Azimio demonstrator feds on cow dung with a juice during protests over the high cost of living in Kisumu on Friday.
The unidentified middle-aged man, sat on the ground at the Huduma Centre, while sipping a fluid believed to be juice.
The Azimio demonstrator kept on saying he was dying of hunger while eating the dry cow dung.
The man was part of a group of demonstrators who had trekked all the way from Kondele to the town centre.
The unusually subdued demo marked the first time no teargas was lobbied or shots fired in the air to disperse the demonstrators.
Despite being provoked by the demonstrators, the police refrained themselves.
“We want tear gas, we want teargas!” the protestors chanted.
“There is no demonstration without teargas, this is not picking up well,” a demonstrator complained.
The demonstrators tried to go past a police roadblock leading to State House Kisumu, in an apparent push to present a petition to the County Commissioner, as the police pleaded to keep off as the said official does not reside there.

During the confrontation, two police spikes used to barricade the road were taken away in a huff by the demonstrators, the destination not known.
The demonstrators then went to Huduma Centre, a building in Kisumu which houses the office of the County Commissioner.
Without any fight, the police left the compound gate a jar, letting all to gain entry.
Kisumu Deputy Governor Mathews Owili, County Assembly Speaker Elisha Oraro, and a host of MCAs addressed the jubilant supporters.
They later handed the petition to Deputy County Commissioner Al Hassan, before vacating the compound.
