Azimio coalition says will not interfere with private businesses and companies of the opponents after attacks on Uhuru and Raila property

Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna has recently assured the public that the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition will not interfere with private businesses and companies.

His remarks came on a day ugly scenes were witnessed in various parts of the city including vandalism of his family property, East Africa Spectre in the Industrial Area.

Former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s family farm in Ruiru, Northlands City, was also invaded, sheep stolen, trees cut and later set ablaze by unknown intruders.

Sifuna highlighted that President Ruto was the target of their grievances, not his companies.

He made it abundantly apparent that the coalition has given its supporters strong orders not to interfere with any privately owned companies or properties, irrespective of who owns them.

“We have given unequivocal instructions to our supporters that no private business or property is to be touched. It’s not as if we don’t know where properties owned by Kenya Kwanza minions are located but that’s not our beef,” he said.

In addition, Azimio leader Raila Odinga called out DP Rigathi Gachagua and other senior government officials accusing them of police brutality and attacks on private property.

Raila alleged that the police were acting on the express orders of a senior government official.

“Our resolve, on the other hand, has grown from strength to strength. We want to assure the illegitimate regime that we will see them bright and early on Thursday. Nationwide,” Raila tweeted.

During the protests, Raila’s convoy faced resistance from police who lobbed tear gas canisters and sprayed protesters with water cannons as he made his way to Kawangware and Kibra respectively. He condemned the attacks as uncalled for saying their quest to say no to oppression was unstoppable.
