Azimio Young Turks tearing Ruto’s promises as they campaign for Raila in Mt Kenya
Azimio Young Turks tearing DP William Ruto’s promises as they campaign for Raila Odinga in the Mt Kenya region.
A group of young leaders allied to Azimio One Kenya Coalition have been camping in the Mt Kenya region to popularise the presidential bid of Raila Odinga.
The Azimio Young Turks led by Jubilee Party National Youth Chairman Advice Mundalo, Senator IG Ngugi, and Azimio Youth Chair Solomon Kuria have traversed Mt Kenya counties; Murang’a, Kirinyaga, Meru, and Nyeri counties to drum up support for Azimio’s presidential candidate Raila Odinga and his running mate Martha Karua.
The group assured Mt Kenya residents that their interests are well catered for in the Azimio government.
They urged locals to turn up and vote for the Raila-Karua ticket.
“Raila and Martha have plans to empower the youth and ensure they get jobs. That is why we’re here to ask you to support them. We want to make manufacturing a pillar of our economy so that we can create employment for the young people,” Mundalo said.
“If you don’t vote for Raila, vote because of Karua. We only have two options. I know we are firmly behind Karua and it’s evident that Azimio is going to win this election,” said IG Ngugi.
The Azimio Young Turks also used the occasion to throw jibes at the Kenya Kwanza team led by Deputy President William Ruto and his running mate Rigathi Gachagua.
“Do not allow Kenya to go into the hands of corrupt leaders. Vote for leaders who will create jobs for the youth, leaders who will lower prices of maize flour and fuel and it’s only the Azimio government that will do that,” said Kuria
