Embakasi East MP Babu Owino reveals that he visited the police injured while handling a teargas canister at the Nairobi West Hospital.

In a post on X on Tuesday evening, June 18, the lawmaker noted that medical officers in the facility were doing a good job to ensure the law enforcement officer recovers.

The MP shared photos of his visit to the hospital and the policeman seemed to be in a stable condition.

“Yesterday evening, I visited Chief Inspector David Maina, the policeman who got injured while handling a tear gas canister, and Corporal Moraa at the Nairobi West Hospital to check on their recovery.

“While CI Maina suffered terrible injuries, we are happy with the good work that the doctors and nurses of the Nairobi West Hospital are doing to ensure he recovers,” Babu Owino remarked.
