Baby Sagini was defiled alongside his sister before the eyes were gouged out according to a medical report shared by Mike Sonko.
According to Baby Sagini’s medical report, which was made public by the former Nairobi County Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko, Sagini was defiled alongside his sister.
The former governor said that Sagini’s health condition was more critical as well as that of his underage sister in a statement dated Wednesday, December 21.
“Baby Sagini has also been sodomized and was being treated,” he shared.
“Sagini’s sister, Shantel, has also come into the picture through the information we earlier gathered today from the ground and upon further investigation and tests, it has been confirmed that Shantel has been molested severally,” Sonko added.
The former county executive went on to say that as a result of the parental sorrow he was experiencing, he was unable to keep the information regarding the two youngsters discreet.
Sonko announces plans to airlift baby Sagini to China for advanced treatment
The ex-governor said he was prepared to handle the matter to make sure justice was done.
Additionally, he expressed gratitude to Esnahs Nyaramba, a defendant in a human rights case, and Kitutu Chache MP Japhet Nyakundi for their close collaboration on the Baby Sagini case.
The medical report was released after Sonko took over the child’s case and unveiled his plans to fly the three-year-old to South China for eye implants.
Sonko had said that he had found a hospital in China that does eye implants but required the boy to have at least two referrals from hospitals in Kenya.
“According to the Chinese doctors, the eye implants will intriguingly help the boy with navigation sensors to allow him to get around on his own in familiar places,” Sonko stated.
