Bernardo Silva makes it clear he wants to leave Manchester City
Bernardo Silva has made it clear that he wants to leave Manchester City for FC Barcelona this transfer window.
Portugal international Bernardo Silva has already made up his mind and agreed to join FC Barcelona.
Bernardo Silva is believed to have already made up his mind about leaving Manchester City some time ago.
And according to SPORT on Sunday, Silva informed his agent Jorge Mendes that he wants to play for Barcelona next season.
Silva is Barca’s top target to reinforce the midfield, with Frenkie de Jong possibly joining Manchester United.
His contract at City runs until 2025 and will likely be a major loss to Pep Guardiola as he has been one of their key players for club.
Meanwhile, Silva had also told Pep Guardiola of his desire to leave this summer.
On his part, Guardiola had already publicly stated that he doesn’t want to keep those that aren’t content.
“As of today, I think Bernardo will continue at Man City next season but as I always said, I don’t like to keep players that are unhappy,” Guardiola said.
“But Bernardo is important and I think he will stay,” he concluded.
With Ferran Tores switching allegiances in January, it is clear that City are open to selling their stars to Barca for the right price.
