Bruno Fernandes fires a thinly-veiled swipe at Cristiano Ronaldo suggesting that Man United are better off him.
Bruno Fernandes praised United’s forwards for pressing effectively against Crystal Palace.
Bruno Fernandes appears to have suggested that Manchester United are better off without Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo has missed the club’s pre-season tour of Thailand and Australia due to ‘personal reasons.

After the Red Devils’ 3-1 victory over Crystal Palace on Tuesday, Fernandes spoke to the media and praised Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford, and Anthony Martial for their tireless work off the ball.
He also suggested that he and United’s midfield, in general, were much more effective than when Ronaldo is on the field.
“The three guys up front [Sancho, Rashford, and Martial] are really aggressive in the press,” the 27-year-old playmaker said.
“When they press they make the last line squeeze and makes the midfield come a little bit higher.”
Meanwhile, Ronaldo’s future still remains unclear.
The 37-year-old handed a transfer request last month, insisting that he wants to spend the final few years of his career playing in the Champions League, but not many teams want to sign him.
United manager Erik ten Hag meanwhile has continually insisted that Ronaldo is not for sale, despite the fact the two haven’t spoken in over a month.
