Tensions escalated outside the police station as family members and supporters confronted officers, prompting the ATPU to discreetly transfer the suspect to Nairobi for security reasons.
Police now say Abdisalam will be arraigned on Tuesday, alongside a Nairobi-based lawyer who was separately arrested in Mombasa in connection with similar terror-related charges.
