The Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) is inviting applications for its 2025 Internship Program, with the deadline set for May 16.

In an advert, the CBK said the one-year program targets young graduates who are looking to gain practical experience in the banking and financial sector.

According to the bank, applicants must be between 21 and 29 years old and must have completed a degree within the last 24 months.

CBK is looking for graduates in fields such as Finance, Economics, Accounting, Human Resources, Information Technology, Communications, and other related disciplines. 

While Master’s degree holders in relevant areas are also encouraged to apply, applicants who have already participated in a similar internship or have relevant work experience will not be considered.

Beyond academic qualifications, CBK is seeking individuals who show strong interpersonal skills, integrity, and the ability to work in a team environment. 

Additionally, candidates must be computer proficient, goal-oriented, and demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving. 

The CBK further said a valid medical insurance cover for the full internship period is also required.

Interested candidates will need to create an account, fill in an application form, and upload necessary documents, including academic certificates, transcripts, and a recommendation letter from their learning institution.

The CBK stated that only complete applications will be reviewed, and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.

CBK has reiterated that the program is an equal opportunity initiative, encouraging women, persons living with disabilities, and candidates from marginalized communities to apply. 

The bank also warned that any form of canvassing will lead to automatic disqualification.

Notably, the CBK noted that it will not offer employment after the completion of the program, however, applicants who successfully complete the program are allowed to apply for any positions the bank advertises.

Applications must be submitted online through the bank’s official recruitment partner, Eagle HR, by May 16.
