Chubukati in his 'Electoral Integrity Project' maintains the August 2022 elections were the most credible in the history of Kenya

Chubukati in his ‘Electoral Integrity Project’ maintains the August 2022 elections were the most credible in the history of Kenya.

Former IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati has reaffirmed that Kenya held its most accessible and credible elections in August 2022.

Chebukati made the remarks in his presentation on the ‘Role of Technology in Improving the Integrity of the Electoral Process in Kenya’.

The Electoral Integrity Project had picked the project for their Annual Electoral Integrity Conference.

“Kenya held the most credible, fair, and free election in its history in August 2022. “Role of Technology in Improving the Integrity of the Electoral Process in Kenya” was the title of a paper I recently gave. The last mile test is described in this video as being essential to accomplishing this feat, Chebukati stated in a tweet on Wednesday.

Chebukati’s remarks are contrary to the Azimio coalition leaders who insist that the election was rigged in favour of President William Ruto.

In May, when the former Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission chair announced that he had been picked for the project, he said he would use the time to demystify the “server issue” which the Kenyan opposition had intensified calls to have opened.

“I am pleased to announce that my project titled “Role of Technology in Improving the Integrity of the electoral process in Kenya” has been accepted for presentation at Electoral Integrity’s Annual Conference to be held on July 3-7! My talk will demystify “the server” in Kenyan polls,” he said.

The Electoral Integrity Project (EIP) is based at the Royal Military College of Canada.

It among other things, seeks to strengthen elections in contests around the world through innovative and policy-relevant scientific research that achieves international standing in the social sciences.
