Chelsea considering FIVE alternatives with the Kounde’s deal set to collapse
Chelsea considering FIVE alternatives with the club’s pursuit of Sevilla defender Jules Kounde’s deal set to collapse.
Chelsea had agreed on terms with Sevilla over a £55m deal to sign the France international.
The Tuchel’s side had also reached personal terms with Kounde over a move to the Premier League.
However, Barcelona’s interest has complicated Chelsea’s pursuit and Kounde is thought to favour a move to Camp Nou.
90min are reporting that the continued delay has seen Chelsea consider alternatives.
And now it looks like Chelsea have lost the battle to sign Jules Kounde from Sevilla this transfer window.
Although, it might be transpiring now that they have actually pulled the plug on the deal themselves, however, nothing has really been confirmed either way yet.
Chelsea considering FIVE alternatives
Chelsea are now said to be considering five alternatives to Kounde whom they have been following for a quite long.
Among the alternatives to Jules Kounde being considered by Chelsea are Villarreal’s Pau Torres, Inter’s Milan Skriniar, RB Leipzig’s Josko Gvardiol, and Bayern Munich duo Dayot Upamecano and Benjamin Pavard.
Chelsea are slightly short in numbers at the back after Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen were key to the German coach’s system, but both left as free agents.
