Chelsea in panic buying after multiple transfer blows
Chelsea in panic buying after multiple transfer blows this summer window according to Jamie Carragher.
Todd Boehly, a co-owner of Chelsea, according to Jamie Carragher, is “panic” buying this summer.
Despite the high-profile arrivals of Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly, the club has had a difficult transfer window as a number of targets moved on to other teams.
Thomas Tuchel lost two of his important players from last season due to the exits of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen, and the German coach has already acknowledged that he is concerned about the dedication of some of his team members.
There is a need to update the choices accessible to Tuchel, even though several attempts have failed after their title challenge collapsed and the season abruptly ended last time around.
Chelsea in panic buying
Speaking on Sky Sports The Overlap in partnership with Sky Bet, Carragher said: “I think the way most football clubs are run now, it’s a lot more organized, a lot more sort of, you know, who you want, it’s not sort of these panic things that used to happen in the past and people just go buy and you’d look at it.
“I look at a couple of things Chelsea do and I’m just thinking, is it a panic because you haven’t bought someone and you gotta get someone? You bought Ben Chilwell for 50 million and then you’re trying to get another left back like you didn’t want them a month ago, you want them now.”
