Chelsea pushing for a double transfer deal, in a pole position to land Ousmane Dembele
Chelsea pushing for a double transfer deal and are in a pole position to land Ousmane Dembele from Barcelona.
According to reports in Spain, Ousmane Dembele is being actively pursued by Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel, and the Blues appear to be in a strong position to close a deal.
After failing to reach an agreement on a new contract, the Frenchman appears destined to depart Barcelona for free.
The Catalan giants have offered the player an offer, but it seems unsatisfactory, and Dembele will likely want to leave.
Tuchel is reportedly working hard to close the deal, according to the Spanish publication Marca and are in the best possible position to sign him.
Dembele has struggled with a lack of form and injuries at Barca.
He is probably in need of a fresh start and that could be with Chelsea.
There is also interest from Paris Saint-Germain but Marca says Chelsea are favourites.
Chelsea pushing for a double transfer deal
Meanwhile, Chelsea also remains in the hunt for Manchester City star Raheem Sterling.
Tuchel wants both him and Dembele on board to bring a fresh spark to the Chelsea attack.
Sterling’s current deal expires in one year, and he hasn’t signed a new one.
The 27-year-old is reportedly considering his options before deciding what to do next.
Chelsea could launch a £60million move to get the England international on board ahead of the new season.
