Speaking after his confirmation, Oyuu credited the outcome to the union’s track record, saying their work for teachers had earned the trust of members.

He pledged to build on previous gains to further improve teachers’ welfare and terms of service.

“Kumi bila break. It is clear we have delivered for teachers, and we are committed to raising the bar even higher so they can benefit more through the union,” Oyuu stated.

He also congratulated fellow officials elected alongside him, describing the unopposed outcome as a sign of confidence in their leadership.

“I want to congratulate my colleagues, we have been elected with this, which shows the faith members have in us,” he added.
