Communications Authority (CA) announces attachment opportunities for university & college students

The Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) has announced attachment opportunities for university and college students across 17 departments.

CA in a notice issued on Saturday, August 16, said the slots were geared towards providing valuable experience and career prospects through the opportunities.

Among the opportunities available for application by university and college students are chances in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Public Administration and Management Studies.

Others include chances in Mass Communication, Public Relations, Journalism, Media Studies, Communication Studies, Finance, Accounting, Commerce, and Economics.

The regulator also announced attachment opportunities in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Electrical Engineering, Radio Frequency Engineering and Information and Communication Technology.

Additionally, students can apply for opportunities in Statistics, Research Methodology, Quality Management, International Studies, Education and Regulatory Affairs.

According to the Authority, the shortlisted applicants would be required to undertake the attachment in their various choices for three months.

When announcing the opportunities, CA revealed that they would enable students to gain hands-on experience.

Students would also have the chance to work alongside experienced professionals in their field, further enhancing their skills and knowledge in a real-world setting.

Students seeking to apply were urged to do so online by 5pm on August 25 this year.

According to the authority, applicants should demonstrate a keen interest in gaining practical experience in a dynamic regulatory environment in their application.

It also stated that areas of study should align with the department applied for, adding that applicants must be current students in recognised universities.
