CS Duale responds to Muturi's claims that he 'loves hanging around State House gossiping'
Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale has dismissed former Public Service CS Justin Muturi’s claims that he’s fond of hanging around State House, questioning why he was singled out among other government officials.
In Muturi’s latest salvo at the government that he once served, he opened a pandora’s box and accused President William Ruto and his henchmen, pinpointing Duale for frequently hanging around State House, an indication that he stays in close proximity to power.
During an interview on JKLive, Duale dismissed the allegations and appealed to leaders to serve the people instead of shifting their focus on innuendos and political theatrics.
“That’s him. What’s wrong if I hang around the seat of power? Is there a crime? If he didn’t have the privilege, he shouldn’t be envious of me,” the CS remarked.
“That’s very pedestrian. I want leaders to tell the country something that is digestible. Duale is hanging around State House, so what? State House has many players, I don’t know why he picked on me.”
Despite their severed relationship, Duale said he would hold talks with Muturi over the matter, owing to their years of friendship.

“I served him when I was the Leader of Majority and him (Muturi) as the Speaker. I have a lot of respect for him but there are certain offices such as the Offices of the Chief Justice, Attorney General, Speaker, Leader of Majority, Deputy President (if you finish your term), the society sees with a different lens and when you speak, they expect something from you. I will look from my friend,” he emphasised.
The CS also touched on Mt Kenya politics and praised the recently concluded Ruto’s 5-day Mt Kenya tour for the crowds he managed to pool.
He also fired salvos at former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, citing that his efforts to thwart Ruto’s presence in Mt Kenya were to no avail.
“Riggy G told us that the President cannot go to Mt Kenya and he can’t touch the mountain. The President went there for 5 days and occupied. Riggy G should go back to Mt Kenya and do the circle the President did,” he stated.
“He should not just become a propagandist on a TV station that is unable to pay staff. That gentleman should have left the mic for Riggy G to speak for 3 hours and then come back, he was never asking him a question,” he stated.
