David Murathe highlights terrible decisions Ruto will make if given power, urging Kenyans not to vote for him.
Jubilee vice chair, and ally of president Uhuru Kenyatta David Murathe, has argued that Ruto’s administration will be the worst regime ever if he wins the August polls.
Speaking to K24 TV, David Murathe highlighted five detrimental decisions Ruto may make if given power.
He claimed such decisions may be punitive and hamper efforts to promote democracy in the country.
He first asserted that the DP would rule with an iron grip and was irritable.
Murathe made his point by referencing the leaked recording in which Ruto said he purportedly threatened to slap his boss.
“Ruto had the audacity to slap a Reuben Chesire, a Minister during the President Daniel arap Moi era, who was old enough to be his father. He also said he was going to slap Uhuru Kenyatta and was unapologetic. If such a thought can cross his mind, it tells you who you are dealing with.
“If he can dare to slap the President, what can he do to you (mwananchi)?” Murathe wondered.
Ruto, according to Murathe, would be an unrepentant leader who wouldn’t hesitate to establish his power and advance his objectives using any means necessary.
Murathe contended that Ruto’s urge to slap Uhuru was a sign of his temperament and mentality.
Murathe also asserted that Ruto would not give up power if he ever replaced President Uhuru Kenyatta by pointing out that Ruto would alter the Constitution to suit his own agenda.
Murathe claims that the DP is a vengeful leader who will sacrifice his life for power.
The vice chair of Jubilee further stated that the DP’s ability to make decisions will be put to the test in this election.
He argued that the DP’s first resolution after the August 9 polls, in case he loses, would give Kenyans a glimpse of his real character.
“I am very fearful of what will happen when the man is defeated. You can be sure that he will not concede defeat. Uhuru is the only President who conceded defeat in 2002,” Murathe furthered his attack on the DP.
“Nobody can believe Ruto. He has been on record promising laptops and stadia. Ruto has been powerfully in government for 30 years. If there was something he wanted to do for Kenyans, he has had all the opportunities to do it.”
