A detective from DCI among the two people stabbed to death in Kisumu by suspected criminals.
In the Riat neighborhood of Kisumu West sub-county, two persons, including an officer from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), were fatally stabbed by suspected criminals on Monday night.
The two instances, which took place in separate parts of Riat, happened at approximately 11 p.m. when the two were attacked while returning home.
In the first incident, a group of four men on a motorcycle ambushed a 20-year-old man, stabbing him multiple times, and was pronounced dead on arrival at JOOTRH.

In the second incident, the 42-year-old male DCI officer who is based in Nairobi, was also attacked by the same gang as he was walking home.
Dago sub-location assistant Chief Mark Odhiambo says both the two victims suffered several visible stab wounds in their bodies, however, nothing was stolen from either of them by the assailants.
DCI officers in Kisumu West sub-county are already investigating the matter as the four suspects are still at large.
