Kipsigis Girls High School’s deputy principal, Sylvia Ngetich mysteriously dies after collapsing at home.

According to the police report, the deputy principal was found found unconscious in her bedroom.

Kericho East Officer Commanding Police Division, Peter Mutuma said he received a report at 8:22 am Thursday that the deputy principal had been found unconscious in her bedroom and was rushed to Siloam Hospital.

“Unfortunately, she was declared dead upon arrival,” he said.

The OCPD revealed that the school Principal Christine Chumba had informed him that the deceased was diagnosed with low blood levels and had even gone for a medical check-up.

Chumba added that the deputy principal had even gone for a medical check-up earlier, according to those privy to the case. 

“We are waiting for an autopsy to be conducted to unravel the cause of death,” said Mutuma.

Chumba declined to comment on the incident, even as Kericho Officer Commanding Station and the Directorate of Criminal Investigation launched investigations into the deputy principal’s death.

The body was removed to Siloam Hospital Mortuary.
