The Principal Secretary for Interior Dr. Raymond Omollo, has asked leaders from Nyanza region not to give conditions to President William Ruto.
The Principal Secretary for Interior Dr. Raymond Omollo, has asked leaders from Nyanza region not to give conditions to President William Ruto.
Omollo, who was speaking in Nyatike Sub-County on Sunday, said people from the Nyanza region do not need any written agreement with President Ruto to get development in future.
“What President Ruto is doing is economic justice. And he is doing it without any coercion. Let us not allow any of our leaders to coerce or give conditions to the President. He is already doing what he promised, what he knows is in the best interest of the country,” said the Interior PS.

Omollo opined that Ruto had been promoting development in the Nyanza region, even without any formal agreement. According to the PS, Ruto has demonstrated that he is ready to work with the people from Nyanza. He expressed confidence that Kenyans will re-elect Ruto in the 2027 polls based on his development track record
“Kenyans will be able to judge you by what you can do for them,” he added.
A similar remark was echoed by Uriri Member of Parliament Mark Nyamitta, who called for an end to “unnecessary sideshows”.
Additionally, Alego Usonga Members of Parliament Sam Atandi said the Luo leaders must work together for the sake of development in the region.
