Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has arrested senior government officials over Ksh55.8 million scam.
According to EACC, the ten Ol Kalou Constituency NG-CDF Officials are among those who are behind bars in the multi-million scam.
Company directors are also waiting to be arraigned over the said scandal which involved the construction of a road in the area.
The anti-graft body noted that the government officials authorized the remission of funds to a road which was never done.
The 10 NG-CDF officials include John Kariuki Kimani, Simon Nduati Kariuki, Ludovick Ngera Gachara, Jerush Waithera Wambui, Samuel Ngugi Gachuki, Peter Mburu Mwangi, Charles Chuaga Ndung’u, Janerose Muthoni Wachira, Titus Kibui Kariuki and Dominic Mulwa Kasina.

“EACC will this morning, at 9 am, arraign before Nyahururu Anti-Corruption Court ten (10) Ol Kalou Constituency NG-CDF Officials and Directors of private companies who embezzled Ksh55.8 million purported to be payments for road projects in the constituency, which were never done,” EACC stated.
Their arraignment on Monday, May 6 follows the recommendation from the Office of the Director of Public Prosecution (ODPP).
According to EACC, the arrested officials who spent their weekend behind bars will be charged with 16 counts of corruption and economic crimes.
