Elon Musk has conquered with former President Uhuru Kenyatta who criticized African governments over their overreliance on foreign aid from the US.
In response to the video, the billionaire through his X space on Friday, January 31, wrote ‘Good for him’ in agreement with Uhuru’s advice to the leaders.
In the video shared globally, Uhuru had called on African leaders to use their resources and build their capacity, asserting that the US did not owe them anything.
“I saw some people the other day crying that Trump has removed funding; that he is not giving us any more money. Why are you crying, it is not your government, not your country. He has no reason to give you anything,” Uhuru said.
“This is a wake-up call for you to say, ‘What are we going to do to help ourselves?’ instead of crying. Nobody is going to continue holding out a hand to give you. It is time for us to use our resources for the right things. We are the ones using them for the wrong things.”
Elon Musk is one of the most instrumental figures in the Trump administration and was appointed to the Department of Government Efficiency by President Donald Trump.

Among the policies that are being pushed by the Trump administration is the review of foreign aid programmes.
Through an executive order, signed on his first day in office, Trump paused all foreign aid, directing an assessment of all aid programmes to ensure that they align with the policies of the US government.
Kenya was among the biggest losers in the move given that the US funds some of the health programmes in the country.
“Reviews of each foreign assistance program shall be ordered by the responsible department and agency heads under guidelines provided by the Secretary of State, in consultation with the Director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB).” read the executive order in part.
“The responsible department and agency heads, in consultation with the Director of OMB, will make determinations within 90 days of this order on whether to continue, modify, or cease each foreign assistance program based upon the review recommendations, with the concurrence of the Secretary of State.”
