Foreign expert mercenaries rigged out Mr. Odinga- Raila’s lawyer Philip Murgor
Raila’s lawyer Philip Murgor has alleged that the August 9 presidential election was rigged with military precision in favour of William Ruto.
In his submission on Friday, September 2, 2022, Murgor insisted that the IEBC servers were interfered with and the election was rigged to the detriment of Odinga.
Murgor argued that foreign expert mercenaries were used in the rigging scheme.
“The evidence that has been presented by the petitioners shows a well-orchestrated and fraudulent scheme that was executed through…with military precision….and given the evidence that has been availed, using expert foreign mercenaries engaged for that purpose,” Murgor remarked.
“I am not surprised that none of those gentlemen I am referring to as mercenaries has not sworn an affidavit. People like that disappear,” he added.
Murgor made the remarks after another Azimio lawyer, Julie Soweto demonstrated how some of the results on Form 34A were falsified.
Soweto presented to the court a form 34A from a polling station bearing the name of Jose Camargo, one of the Venezuelan nationals suspected of orchestrating a team of IT specialists that altered results forms on the IEBC system.
“Jose Camargo (Venezuelan) is the person who decided the president-elect of Kenya. He is the one who was interfering with the forms,” said Julie Soweto.
Raila’s lawyer Philip Murgor also questioned why Form 34As were not transmitted in color and in JPEG form as provided for in tender documents.
Murgor submitted to the court that Form 34As from polling stations were transmitted in black and white and in the form of a PDF document, which he claims was interfered with and re-uploaded.
“The tender document provided that KIEMS kits would transmit a compressed colour photograph image using JPEG. That requirement wasn’t changed unless it was changed quietly, fraudulently and with the intention of rigging the presidential election,” Murgor submitted.
