Former Nairobi Woman Representative Rachael Shebesh has been shortlisted for the position of member of the National Gender and Equality Commission (NGEC)
Former Nairobi Woman Representative Rachael Shebesh has been shortlisted for the position of member of the National Gender and Equality Commission (NGEC).
Shebesh was among 16 applicants whose application for the position sailed through.
The Nairobi-based politicians will be interviewed on Thursday, October 17.
Another notable person shortlisted for the position was Florence Mutua who served as the Busia Woman Representative before the 2022 polls.

Mutua vied for the ODM gubernatorial party ticket and lost to Paul Otuoma.
“The shortlisted applicants will be interviewed at the 11th Floor Boardroom, Harambee House, Harambee Avenue, Nairobi, on the date and time indicated in the schedule. Shortlisted applicants should report at the venue at least thirty minutes before the scheduled time,” read the notice in part.
“The shortlisted applicants must bring originals of the following including their national identity card and academic and professional certificates and transcripts.”
Meanwhile, Former Senator Millicent Omanga missed out on being shortlisted for the job of chairperson of the Commission.
The former Senator has applied for the position alongside 44 other applicants. Only 10 applicants have been shortlisted for the position.
One notable person who was shortlisted for the position is former Minister Linah Jebii Kilimo.
