Kenyans have started feeling the pain at the pump following a review of petroleum products upwards by the Energy Petroleum Regulatory Authority.

The increase which took effect on Saturday midnight has already pushed the cost of transport up with the players in the sector hiking fare prices.

The high fuel prices have worsened the already tough economic environment for digital taxi operators.

The new prices have seen motorists in Nairobi pay a whooping Ksh.195.50 per litre of petrol, and Ksh.179.60 for diesel.
