Gachagua alleges NIS plot to link him and Uhuru Kenyatta to anti-Finance Bill protests

DP Gachagua says NIS plots to link him and former President Uhuru Kenyatta to the chaotic protests
DP Gachagua says NIS plots to link him and former President Uhuru Kenyatta to the chaotic protests.
Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on Wednesday accused National Intelligence Service (NIS) Director General Noordin Haji of ostensibly hatching a plot to frame him and former President Uhuru Kenyatta as the key financiers and the hidden faces behind the anti-finance bill protests.
Speaking during a press conference, Gachagua stated that the plans flopped, before proceeding to call on state agencies to stop victimising leaders with divergent political views.
During the same press conference, the Deputy President accused Haji of presiding over a dysfunctional intelligence system and blamed him for Tuesday’s demos and feeding President William Ruto disjointed intelligence.
“Yesterday, Noordin Haji was trying to put up a team together and propaganda and attribute the chaos to leaders including myself and former President Uhuru Kenyatta. It is very clear and the President has admitted that the protests were caused by the anger of Kenyans on the Finance Bill,” Gachagua who was speaking in Mombasa affirmed.
DP Gachagua called for the resignation of NIS Director General Noordin Haji over his failure.

“There has been a failure in intelligence and advise received. The security sector was caught off-guard by the intensity of the protests. Had NIS DG Noordin Haji done his job, we would not be where we are today.”
He further stated that ” Haji must take responsibility for the deaths and the breach of Parliament. He must resign.”
He further pleaded with the Gen Zs to call of the protests set or tomorrow
Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has preded with Generation Z to call off the protest tomorrow.
“Please I beseech you as you father please my sons and daughter make an announcement and call off the protest,” he said.
“”My children are of the same Gen Z. No parent should have to bury their child, especially in such circumstances. I cry for our children; I am unable to bear the pain of innocent young children whose only crime was to air their views in a democratic country.”
