Raila exposes alleged DP Gachagua night meeting to counter his protests by killing Azimio demonstrators.

On Thursday, March 23, Azimio leader Raila Odinga accused Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua of organizing a secret meeting at his home in Karen to thwart opposition protests.

In a statement to the media, Raila asserted that Ndindi Nyoro and Kimani Ichung’wah, the majority leader of the National Assembly, were present at the meeting.

Raila claims that Gachagua called a number of young people to the meeting and gave them instructions on how to counter-protesters at the impending Monday protests.

Moreover, Raila stated that the youth would receive uniforms that were comparable to those obtained by his supporters under the Movement for the Defence of Democracy (MDD) banner, allowing them to join the campaign covertly and without being noticed.

“We have very authentic information that on Tuesday evening, Mr Rigathi Gachagua convened a meeting at his residence in Karen and in attendance were Kimani Ichungwah and Ndindi Nyoro. They invited youth from different parts of the country to that meeting.

“The meeting ended up serving as a planning session for how to deal with the protesters on Monday. According to the information we now have, the idea is for these young people to receive uniforms that resemble those of the MDD, our movement. After that, they’ll hang out with our kids and support them during the protests “the former prime minister said.

Raila went on to say that the youth had been told to kill over a thousand protestors in order to provide evidence for the International Criminal Court to use in its prosecution of the detained Azimio members of Parliament (ICC).

“They will shoot, stone, knife and aim is to kill over 1000 people and then they are going to make a case that there is a blood bath and they will try to send those who are leaders of Azimio to ICC,” added Raila.

The Azimio leader maintained that the movement intended to participate in a peaceful protest adding that plans by the deputy president to cause chaos would fail.

“We want to condemn in the strongest terms protests this criminal plan by these people to try and cause bloodshed in our country.

“We have said that we are a peaceful movement and we don’t want any bloodshed,” stated Raila.
