Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on Thursday held talks with a team of pastors and church ministers from different denominations at his Wamunyoro residence.
The former DP said that the pastors and church ministers called on him at his Wamunyoro residence.
Gachagua said both sides benefitted from the day’s insights on the direction the country should take.
“This afternoon, I was blessed to receive a team of pastors and church ministers from different denominations, who called on me at the Wamunyoro Residence, to pray for me and my family,” Gachagua said.
“I especially benefited from their spiritual insights on various issues happening around us, as well as their input on what the ground is saying as regards the direction we should take as a Nation. The consultations continue.”
The former DP has been holding meetings with a host of leaders at his Wamunyoro residence.
Gachagua who was impeached in October last year has remained active hosting politicians, opinion leaders, church leaders and professionals from the region as he strategises for 2027.
Over the past month, his residence has been a hub of political activities, with delegations from various counties in Mt Kenya flocking to discuss potential political options.

On January 25, Gachagua met Narc Kenya Party Leader Martha Karua and vowed to work with her.
Gachagua said as leaders they would benefit from Karua’s extensive experience in politics.
The former DP said that he will regularly consult Karua going forward.
“We have had a good conversation with Karua and we have agreed going forward we are going to work together with other Kenyans. I want to assure you that many Kenyans are looking for leadership. We will work together with like-minded Kenyans, patriots and people who care for this country,” Gachagua said.
The former DP expressed joy saying he will be a happy man for uniting with the Narc Kenya Party leader.
Gachagua said that Karua has the necessary experience, and courage and will help the Mt Kenya region move forward.
“We shall benefit a lot from her counsel, we will consult her regularly alongside other Kenyans of goodwill so that we liberate this country,” he added.
