Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on Monday, December 30 met with former MPs and MCAs from the Mt Kenya region to deliberate on new political pathways.
“I have had the privilege of engaging various leaders and stakeholders from across the region as regards the way forward, as we head into the new year,” he said.
Gachagua said the consultations have been useful and educative in helping them understand where they are, how they got there and the options available for them as they head forward.

“Today I continued with these consultations with former MPs Peter Mwathi, Jude Njomo, Wainanina Jungle, Ngunjiri Wambugu, Gichuhi Mwangi and Kabinga Wathayu,” he said.
The former MCAs included Kuria Karema, Joseph Karichu, Mercy Nungari, Muthoni Chikiru, Juliah Wanjiku and Livingstone Waiganjo.
Others were Kiambu leader Damaris Waiganjo, as well as youth leaders Karanja Muchai, Theuri Wanjiru and Peter Kinyanjui.
