German national found dead in his home in Olosurutia in Kajiado hours before finalising land deal in Kenya

German national found dead in his home in Olosurutia in Kajiado hours before finalising land deal in Kenya.

His housekeeper found the man’s lifeless body after becoming concerned when he failed to awaken on Tuesday, March 14.

The 74-year-old German national had reportedly planned to go to Malindi to finalize the purchase of a plot of land after he arrived in Kenya on Sunday, March 12.

Police officers at the site reported that he had been discovered in his bed laying on his back without any visible physical injuries following a domestic manager’s alarm.

Additionally, the detectives noted that there were assorted medications in his luggage.

The authorities stated that they were looking into the incident to ascertain the German’s final moments and the cause of death.

“We are trying to establish how many people were in the house when he died. We are also investigating if the deceased had an underlying medical condition,” the police officer assigned to the case stated.

However, that was not an isolated case as another German national was found dead in his Kjiado home on Wednesday, March 15, morning.

The 80-year-old who was living with his daughter-in-law at the time was reported to have been attacked by unknown assailants.

The lifeless body of the man, who had been a resident of Kajiado for the past four years, was discovered by a security guard who spotted traces of blood at the door of the house.

Confirming the incident, Kajiado Central Sub-county Police Commander Daudi Loronyokwe stated that the man was found with several stab wounds and his eyes gouged out.

Loronyokwe added that the man’s hands were tied to his bed when he was found.

Police officers were alerted by the man’s daughter-in-law who also reported that the house had been ransacked and the deceased’s laptop stolen.

“I regret to inform you of the unfortunate incident that resulted in the loss of life. Locals and his neighbours are familiar with the deceased. All preliminary investigations point to a brutal murder.

“The widespread blood stains indicate a possible struggle from the sitting room to the bedroom. The house has been ransacked, and all we know so far is that the deceased laptop is missing,” Loronyokwe stated.

Investigations on both incidents are ongoing to determine the cause of death of both foreigners.
