Google has released the list of the most searched Kenyan personalities in 2025.

In a report released on Thursday, December 4, Kenyan middle and long-distance runner Faith Kipyegon emerged as the most-searched personality in Kenya.

In September 2025, Kipyegon stormed to her fourth world 1,500m title during the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo.

Other personalities who were most searched in 2025 include: EALA Member of Parliament, Winnie Odinga, ODM Party leader Oburu Oginga, veteran radio presenter the late Edward Kwach, and Siaya Senator James Orengo.

According to Google, Rosemary Odinga, Deputy Inspector General of Police Eliud Lagat, Margaret Nduta and former Public CS Justin Muturi also made it to the top 10 trending Kenyan personalities.

Nduta came to the limelight after she was sentenced to death in Vietnam after being caught with over two kilograms of illegal drugs at Tan Son Nhat International Airport.

She had been hired by another Kenyan in July 2023 to transport a suitcase to Laos and would receive $1,300, with all the expenses covered.

In July, Nduta was spared from the death penalty after a successful appeal. Vietnam’s Supreme Court commuted her sentence to life imprisonment.

DIG Lagat, on the other hand, was on the spot after he was linked to the mysterious death of the late Albert Ojwang in police custody.

Lagat stepped assigned from his position for a few weeks before he was cleared by IPOA to go back to the office.

At the same time, Google released the trending losses in 2025, with the late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga being the most searched person in Kenya, followed by former Liverpool star Diogo Jota.

Other losses that were most searched include: Charlie Kirk, Pope Francis, Wafula, Chebukati, Albert Ojwang, Kimani Mbugua, Hulk Hogan, Ngũgĩ wa Thiong’o and lawyer Kyalo Mbobu.
