The Presidential Digital Talent Programme (DigiTalent) has opened applications for 400 ICT interns under the Presidential Digital Talent Programme (PDTP) Cohort X Intake.

The initiative seeks to recruit young, talented Kenyans with a passion for ICT and public service to undergo a structured 12-month internship across both public and private sectors. 

The programme aims to equip participants with practical workplace experience, mentorship, and professional networking opportunities while refining career goals.

According to DigiTalent, the internship will cover several areas of specialization, including Network and Digital Infrastructure where 150 positions are available.

Other available positions are 100 positions in Software Development & AI, 50 positions in Information Security, 50 positions in Multimedia (Graphic Design) and Digital Marketing, and 50 positions in Data Analytics.

To qualify, applicants must have graduated with First or Upper Second-Class Honors, or equivalent, from a recognized institution within the last two years, from January 2023. 

Those awaiting graduation by December 2025 must provide a recommendation letter from their university, stamped and signed, indicating the class of degree to be awarded.

Eligible applicants should hold a BSc. in ICT or Engineering, including Electrical and Electronics, Telecommunication, Systems/Software, or Computer, and have thorough knowledge in their chosen specialization. 

Additionally, applicants may be required to demonstrate technical competencies before the interviews.

Applicants must also be Kenyan youths aged between 21 and 29 years and currently unemployed, and they should not have previously undertaken any government internship programme. 

Further, selected interns must be willing to be deployed full-time, working from 8:00am to 5:00pm, in any government organization within the 47 counties. 

The programme encourages females, persons with disabilities, and graduates from ASAL regions to apply.

Interested applicants are required to complete the online application form via https://recruitment.digitalent.go.ke/ and attach all relevant documents as indicated in the form. 

DigiTalent warned that Incomplete applications will not be considered, and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted to attend interviews.

The deadline for submission of applications is Monday, September 15, at midnight.
