The Ministry of Lands and Urban Development has urged members the public who had applied for title deeds between 2015 and 2022 to collect the documents.
In a notice dated October 22, the Ministry directed the applicants to visit their application centers with their original booking forms and copy of ID to collect the title deeds.
“Our esteemed customers and members of the public are hereby notified to collect the following documents and applications that have remained uncollected as herein attached. You are requested to avail the original booking forms and copy of the ID of the individuals authorized to collect the documents,” read part of the notice.
The ministry stated that the list of the uncollected title deeds can be accessed through the link https://shorturl.at/gLcm9.
“You are also notified that in due course we shall publish the same notice on our official website with the complete list of uncollected titles and documents,” the Ministry explained.

This comes a few weeks after the Ministry of Lands announced the theft of 367 papers used for printing title deeds.
The ministry claimed that the motive for the theft of the papers was an intention by corrupt cartels to produce fake titles.
“Our attention has been drawn to a gazette notice issued by the government printer on September 26, 2024, regarding 367 security papers that were stolen at the printer. We would like to clarify the following matter. The documents stolen at the government printer are the papers that are used for printing title deeds,” read part of a statement by the Ministry of Lands.
The Alice Wahome-led ministry affirmed that it has enhanced its mechanisms for fighting land fraud.
