Labour Cabinet Secretary Alfred Mutua has issued a notice to all successful applicants of the Kazi Majuu programme in Malindi, Kilifi, Mombasa, and Ukunda.

In a statement on Wednesday, June 18, Mutua called on those selected to avail themselves to the reporting centers on Friday, June 21, from 9 AM.

The reporting centers include the District Officer’s Office in Malindi and Kilifi, Mama Ngina Drive in Mombasa, and the Ukunda Showground in Diani.

“This is to notify all individuals who received offer letters during the recently concluded recruitment exercise held in Malindi, Kilifi, Mombasa, and Ukunda that they are required to report to the following locations,” he said.

Applicants are required to bring with them a copy of their valid offer letter, a copy of their passport, and Ksh. 300 to cover the cost of lawyer notarization. 

Mutua noted that Youth Fund application forms will be issued at the site, and all applicants must either present their bank account details or be prepared to open a new bank account on the day.

Mutua added that all steps of the process will be completed on-site, warning that failure to fill out the Youth Fund application form will lead to disqualification from receiving funding.

He also urged participants to be punctual, stating that timely attendance will be critical for a smooth and efficient registration process.

This comes months after Mutua saw off a group of 200 Kenyan police guards has left the country for Qatar after successfully securing positions in the Gulf nation’s security sector. 

In a statement on Wednesday, February 5, Mutua said the recruits, selected through a rigorous process, will undergo extensive training before being fully integrated into the Qatari government security system.

“Following the successful recruitment of Kenyan Police Guards trainees for the State of Qatar, I was pleased to see off the 200 recruits who will be serving in the Government of Qatar. These Kenyans will undergo extensive training before being fully integrated into the Qatari government security system,” the CS said.

Mutua expressed confidence in their ability to excel in their new roles, adding that the selection process was highly competitive.

“I encouraged them to work diligently, uphold discipline, and represent Kenya with excellence. The selection process required proficiency in Arabic, a spotless criminal record, a strong educational background and an exemplary attitude —key attributes for success in their new roles,” he added.

Mutua stated that more Kenyan recruits will continue traveling as per the schedule set by their Qatari employers.
