Kalonzo Gave Express Instructions to his Running Mate Andrew Sunkuli on Raila Before Leaving the Country.
Andrew Sunkuli, Kalonzo’s running mate in the August polls has revealed the instructions Kalonzo gave him before leaving the country.
Kalonzo is out of the country on a private mission to the United Kingdom.
And before leaving, Kalonzo gave express instrustions to his deputy president designate to ensure Wiper members do not continue antagonising Wiper from Azimio partners.
Speaking in an interview on Citizen TV on Tuesday, May 24, Sunkuli noted that Kalonzo instructed him to ensure his allies respect Raila and desist from attacking him.
“Kalonzo gave me a couple of assignments to do towards our candidature but he said ‘I do not want to hear anything bad spoken about Raila’, so I suspect deep down there is no remorse, “Sunkuli stated.
Sunkuli noted that Kalonzo still had a cordial relationship with Raila despite missing the running mate position.
He did concede, though, that the current political undertones perplexed him, and that he was waiting for Kalonzo’s directions and would back him up no matter what.
“I cannot say that I know what’s happening in depth because it is the public domain and I only know what everybody knows. This is a bizarre year and you should expect a few twists and turns before the train steadies.

Meanwhile, Kalonzo is expected to set to reveal his stand once he returns from abroad.
Wiper Party delegates convened at Stoni Athi Resort in Machakos County on Monday, May 23, and decided that their leader, Kalonzo Musyoka, should reunite with Raila Odinga and back the ODM leader’s presidential campaign.
45 delegates voted in favor of Wiper Party staying, while five delegates voted against.
“We want to be part of the new Kenya going forward but we need structured discussions as what is being offered is only in the media. We want Azimio to know that the issue is about Wiper as a party, and not Kalonzo as people have made it to be,” Wiper Organising secretary Robert Mbui said.
