Kalonzo issue demands to Raila over succession ahead of his big announcement according to the Wiper party.

Wiper Party elected leaders have demanded that Raila Odinga hand over the Azimio leadership to Kalonzo Musyoka, who is set to make a grand political announcement.

On Saturday, December 31, Kitui Senator Enoch Wambua told the media that it was past time for Raila to support Kalonzo for the seat.

He stated that Azimio should borrow a leaf from President William Ruto and choose their flagbearer for 2027 early enough and start running campaigns right at once.

“We need enough time to popularise our candidate, visit as many parts of this country, and ensure that Kenyans begin to familiarize themselves with the idea of a Kalonzo presidency,” Wambua stated.

In addition, the senator asked Odinga to deliver his support base from across the country to the Wiper party leader.

“I am happy to see the activity by the party leader, but he cannot drop the ball, he should hand it over, not drop it.

” I believe that Raila and the Nyanza backyard of ODM and other strongholds have benefitted from the selflessness of Kalonzo. It is only fair that they reciprocate that gesture this January,” Wambua stated.

Close allies of Kalonzo Musyoka disclosed that he has been meeting political leaders across the country seeking counsel on his bid.

The conversations will be the highlight of the big announcement he is set to make this month.

Wiper’s new irreducible minimums threaten to cause disquiet in Azimio since Raila has not come clean on whether or not he will face Ruto again in 2027.

“I do not have to run as President in 2027. If I do not, somebody else will, but I have not said that I am not going to run again,” he revealed on December 28.
