Kalonzo promises to turn the tables against Ruto in 2027 as he rules out joining the Kenya Kwanza govt

Kalonzo promises to turn the tables against Ruto in the 2027 general elections as he rules out joining the Kenya Kwanza govt.

Wiper party leaders have remained adamant about joining President William Ruto in the Kenya Kwanza government.

Ruto’s camp has been advancing overtures at the Wiper’s party leader Kalonzo Musyoka to ditch the opposition for a position in government.

While responding to the recent calls from president Ruto and his camp to Kalonzo to join the government, Kitui Senator Enoch Wambua, one of Kalonzo’s confidants said that Kalonzo will not join the Kenya Kwanza side now or later.

Speaking over the weekend, when he attended a funeral in Mboru area near Mwingi town in Kitui county, Senator Wambua told President Ruto that they expect him to join Kalonzo’s government after he wins the 2027 general election.

“Let me answer president Ruto for him to calm down, our leader Kalonzo Musyoka is not going to join him now. It is he who will have to support Kalonzo after we defeat him in the 2027 general election,” he said

Well in advance of the general election in August, President William Ruto has been courting Kalonzo to join his team.

Last Sunday when he visited Kitui county and worshiped at AIC Kitui Township, the Head of State told residents that he is ready to work with the Kamba kingpin.

However, he said that he had even attempted to offer Kalonzo a post in his administration; however, Kalonzo turned it down and stated that he preferred to be on the opposition side.

” During my campaigns, I had promised you that if God enables me to win and form the government, I will look for Kalonzo so that we work together. I did meet with him but he declined my job offer stating that he wants to try the opposition side,” he said.
