In a statement on Tuesday, October 14, Wiper Secretary General Shakilla Abdalla said the trip marks an important milestone in Kalonzo’s ongoing outreach efforts ahead of the 2027 General Election.

Abdalla noted that the engagements lined up reflect the former Vice President’s increasing domestic and international recognition.

“The visit, beginning on October 15, 2025, will see the WF Leader engage with high-profile institutions, policymakers, and members of the Kenyan diaspora in a series of events that underscore his growing international and domestic momentum ahead of Kenya’s 2027 General Election,” the statement read.

Abdalla noted that the visit goes beyond politics, focusing on building meaningful partnerships and fostering constructive dialogue on issues critical to Kenya’s development and democracy.

“The visit is part of continuing efforts to strengthen international partnerships, promote Kenya’s global profile, and engage citizens abroad on matters of governance, economic empowerment, and national renewal,” the statement added.

During his stay, Kalonzo will address key global forums, including the prestigious London Political Summit and Awards, where he is set to deliver the keynote address at the UK Parliament in Westminster. 

He will also speak at Chatham House, The Royal Institute of International Affairs, and hold consultations with the Commonwealth Secretariat.

“The WPF Leader will deliver the keynote address at the London Political Summit and Awards, to be held at the UK Parliament, Westminster as well as speak at Chatham House – The Royal Institute of International Affairs and have a consultative meeting with the Commonwealth Secretariat,” the statement further read.

Abdalla further revealed that Kalonzo’s itinerary includes a lecture at Oxford University and a town hall meeting with Kenyans living in the UK, aimed at engaging the diaspora in national discourse.

“In addition, the WPF Leader will deliver a special lecture at Oxford University, one of the world’s foremost academic institutions and engage in a Townhall Meeting with the Kenyan diaspora under the theme ‘The Kenya We Want’,” the statement concluded.
