KDF officer beaten to death at a Chang’aa den in Bungoma County following a scuffle with his attackers.
Three people have been arrested in Kimilili, Bungoma County, for allegedly attacking and killing a medical military officer attached to the Moi Air Base barracks.
According to OCPD Mwita Marwa of the Kimilili Police Station, who confirmed the occurrence, an altercation broke out between the officer, named Edward Barasa, and a group of rowdy adolescents he was drinking with at a Chang’aa den in Maeni village.
The KDF officer is then alleged to have been attacked by the youths with punches and kicks before one of them struck him in the head with a wooden stick.

Barasa reportedly succumbed to his injuries before reaching the Kimilili sub-county hospital where he was being rushed for treatment as he had deep cuts on the head and on his left hand.
Mr. Marwa has since warned people against taking the law into their own hands, adding that police officers have since launched investigations into the incident with an aim of bringing the culprits to book.
He assured that detectives were piecing evidence and that those found culpable will be dealt with in accordance with the law.
