In a notice released on Friday, October 25, KDF invited successful applicants to interviews and selection exercises at designated locations nationwide.

According to the announcement, shortlisted candidates for GSO Cadets (Regular and Graduate), Specialist Officers, and Tradesmen/Women positions must report to specific venues on different dates in November and December.

GSO Cadet (Regular) candidates have been instructed to report to the Kenya Military Academy in Lanet, Nakuru, on Monday, December 1, 2025, at 8:00 a.m.

Similarly, GSO Cadet (Graduate) applicants are expected at the same venue on Monday, November 24, 2025, at 8:00 a.m.

Specialist Officers will also undergo their selection process at Kenya Military Academy, Lanet, Nakuru, on Monday, December 8, 2025, at 8:00 a.m.

Meanwhile, Tradesmen/Women candidates are scheduled to report to Ulinzi Sports Complex in Langata, Nairobi, on Monday, November 3, 2025, at 8:00 a.m.

The Ministry of Defence has outlined specific requirements for the interview process. All candidates must present their original National Identification Card (ID Card), academic and professional certificates, curriculum vitae, and any other relevant testimonials, accompanied by four copies of the same documents.

KDF has assured candidates that food and accommodation will be provided throughout the interview.

Additionally, unsuccessful candidates will be reimbursed for travel expenses per KDF Regulations.

Applicants have been advised to carry warm clothing.

The ministry has cautioned against engaging in bribery or any form of corruption to influence the recruitment outcome, stating that such actions constitute a criminal offence.

“Any person found engaging in recruitment-related malpractice will be arrested and prosecuted,” the notice warned.

This recruitment drive follows an announcement made earlier in September when KDF indicated its intention to recruit personnel across multiple categories.

The exercise targeted General Service Officer Cadets, Specialist Officers, General Duty Recruits, Tradesmen and women, as well as Defence Forces Constables.

The recruitment specifications outlined varying academic requirements depending on the position. GSO Cadet (Regular) applicants were required to possess a KCSE grade of B (Plain) with C+ in English, Mathematics, and one science subject, while graduate cadet positions required candidates to hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.

Successful candidates who complete the selection process will undergo verification and training at designated Kenya Defence Forces institutions.
