Eight counties to be hit by power black/ interruption on Tuesday as part of network maintenance by the KPLC (Kenya Power).

Kenya Power has announced scheduled power interruptions that will affect eight counties in the country.

In a statement on Monday evening, the power interruption will affect parts of Nairobi, Mombasa, Meru, Nakuru, Migori, Trans Nzoia, Embu and Kiambu counties on Tuesday.

In Nairobi, Part of Kangemi, Sodom, Kinda School, Nairobi Water, JKUAT, Kabaserian Avenue, Musa Gitau, Njiru, Mwangaza school, Busara Sch, Peter Kipkosia Sch, Umoja 2 Mkt 1 & 2, Twin Kid Sch and adjacent customers will be affected.

In Nakuru, whole of Blankets, Kiratina, Whitehouse, Mailisita, Kunste, Teachers, Valley Convection, KITI, Tosti, Watu wa Hema, Kajipara, Mediheal, Hill Court, Nairobi Women Hosp, Hill Top, Platinum, St. Mary’s Pastrol, Bismark, Nawasco Nairobi Rd, Shell 58 KFC and adjusted customers will be affected.

In Embu, areas to experience blackouts include Masinga KenGen Camp & Water Treatment, Sogea, Kamukunzi, Mukusu, Kaewa, Kiseuni, Ulutya, Kikumini, Kikawa, Kangonde, Kitangani, Masinga Town, Msingini, Mutwamwaki, Msingini Resort, Misewani, Mukameni Masinga DCC’s Office, Masinga Boys & Girls Sec Schs and adjacent customers.

Kiambu County’s Whole of Tola, Kiahuria Shopping Center, Metro, Parts of Ngoingwa, Ndarugo Motel, Compuera, Mpesa Academy, Muiri, Albbizia and adjacent customers will be affected.

Mombasa County will be hit the most. Areas expected to be affected include; Anandamanga Primary School, Masjid Noor, Murji Farm, Mwembelegeza, Hotel Sisters, Bamburi, Kilima Rd, Kisumu Ndogo, Maweni Pri, Shauri Yako Est, VOK, Khadija Est, Natures Water, Kisaunin Poly, Frere Town, Old Mugoya, Part of Beach Rd, Ziwa la Ngombe, Raha Leo, Bombolulu, among other areas.

The power blackout will run for about 9 hours, beginning 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
