The Kenyan Ambassador in the UK Manoah Esipisu receives a prestigious award in London.
The outgoing High Commissioner to the UK Manoah Esipisu was conferred with a Diplomat of the Year Award from Africa in an event held in London on Monday, April 22.
Diplomat Magazine recognized the outgoing High Commissioner for his exemplary performance in diplomatic duties in the UK.
“To be performing at the highest level here is because of the support I have got from my colleagues in Kenyan Mission here, my wife and family,” he stated while receiving the award.
“Lastly I would like to thank my President for asking me to come to London and for my government for supporting me throughout this period,” he added.

Esipisu who is set to be replaced by Catherine Kirumba Karemu has been instrumental in fostering cooperation among Kenyans living, working and even those visiting London.
Throughout his tenure, he has also overseen the sprout of new businesses owned by Kenyans in various parts of the UK.
More Kenyans have also earned employment opportunities and scholarships through Esipisu’s guidance.
The award thus sums up his successful tenure as Kenya’s High Commissioner in the UK.
“Delighted and honoured to be awarded 2024 Diplomat of the Year from Africa at the glittering London Diplomatic Corps event hosted by Diplomat London. Award underlined recognition of Kenya’s work building strong bilateral relations and leadership on global issues,” he further wrote.
